I've literally been in a middle of a tense fight online, had the Groove app pop up and load in front of me and by the time i managed to switch back to the game i was dead. Guess what happens when the app crashes? The next time Windows tries to stream a song the app reloads on the Xbox taking focus away from the game you are playing. flac files (in fairness Groove Music would ignore any flac files on Onedrive as well) the app routinely crashes when doing this. I tried streaming my own files directly on the same network, other than the fact that is doesn't work with. What really rustles my jimmies is that there is no alternative option for the same kind of functionality.
Is that too much to ask?ĮDIT: I should say i almost got there with the Plex app but it doesnt support playing music in the background, it only works when the Plex app is the main app running. Of course back in the 360 days i could just easily stream music from my home network but in your infinite wisdom you don't have the same feature available to a more technologically advanced console because reasons? Microsoft it sure is hard to take your "Power of the Cloud/Investing in Streaming/Project Xcloud" ambitions seriously when you arbitrarily disable online related features from your console that in itself was originally designed to be much more of an online box. I'm a sucker for turning down game music from multiplayer games and streaming my own soundtrack and my go to method no longer works.
One of my most used features has been disabled, who even knows why.
